CareerMums is a national online job classifieds website connecting skilled mums to employers who understand the balance of work and family.
Mums are an untapped resource segment who are skilled, resourceful and experienced.
A perfect trade-off exists for the taking: experience, expertise and maturity in exchange for a flexible workplace. Career dads are more than welcome to apply for these jobs as well!

A Talented Startup Racing Ahead

The Employers website enables online sign up of employers with auto user name and password generation and the ability for the employer to immediately start loading jobs.
Jobs can be entered under a wide range of criteria with support for job share, part time or even specific days of the week. Jobs can also be advertised by the proximity to a Child Care Centre and there is a child care centre database integrated into the development. There is also an integrated online payment gateway. The Career Mums Administration system features, as well as a complete web based Content Management and Authoring System, a range of tools to enable the company to maintain all aspects of the website.

The project is hosted at our Melbourne based data centre on a Linux server running the best of breed Plesk hosting console. We used a MySQL database and PHP 5 for the server side scripting.
