Summary

GTChat is a fast and comfortable webchat application. Due to use of server push technology and working without a database like mySQL it uses only little server resources, which of course won't affect the performance. Some users have problems with server push because of their proxy servers. For those users there is also a client pull mode.

Representation of smileys with pictures (if wanted)

Different user groups: Guest, User, Superuser, Administrator, Chat-Master

Easy creation and changing of rooms, non-administrators can create temporary rooms

Private rooms, users can be invited

Moderated rooms, VIPs

Private messages can be only read by the addressee (not even by administrators)

Administrator functions: forbid the trouble-maker to speak for some time, kick out of the chat, ban the username or IP-address

Logging of public texts

Complete translation possible without program changes

Predefined templates work as well with Internet Explorer as with Netscape Communicator (both version 4.0 or higher)

Simple adjusting of colors in the CSS file, no changes on templates necessary
